IAA meetings are loosely based on Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, using the 12 steps as a jumping-off place to figure out our own approach to handling this particular addiction.  Since this is a new group and internet addiction is different from alcohol addiction in several key ways, we'll adjust the format as we go.

You can expect your first IAA meeting to be a small, informal group.  We will discuss how internet addiction has affected us.  Everyone is invited to share their story, but you can also just listen.  We'll also share what we know of 12-step programs and discuss ideas for how they can be applied to us.
